The Wyldesites Secure HLS Video Encoding and Streaming System encodes your videos on AWS and streams them encrypted through CloudFront signed cookies, so only your members can watch and your files stay off tube sites.
Upload a master video and it’s transcoded automatically to adaptive HLS in resolutions up to 4K, with an email when each version is ready.
Each video is split into encrypted segments, and the keys sit behind the same signed cookies as the video itself.
Streams come from your own media subdomain. Only browsers holding a valid signed cookie can load a playlist, key or segment, and your S3 bucket is locked so only CloudFront can read it.
Video.js 8 is bundled with the plugin, with adaptive streaming up to 4K, a quality menu and mobile support. Each video is placed with one shortcode.
Upload once. Everything after that is automatic.
Drag your master file into a private S3 bucket with any S3 client, such as Cyberduck.
Amazon S3Private
A Node.js and TypeScript encoding pipeline running in your own AWS account produces HLS versions from 480p up to 4K.

You get one notification per video and resolution, so you know exactly when to publish.

The pipeline is deployed as code, so the same setup can be rolled out to any number of sites or AWS accounts. Each site gets separate, limited-access credentials for WordPress and for uploads.

Every request is checked. A copied link is useless.
Signed cookies are issued only to logged-in, paid members. See our adult membership site design services.
Signed cookies
CloudFront verifies the cookie on every playlist, key and segment request, so a shared or copied link won’t play.
CloudFront
Your S3 bucket can’t be reached directly. Video is only ever served through CloudFront to members with a valid cookie.
Locked bucket

HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) splits a video into short segments with a playlist, so it streams smoothly at the right quality for each viewer. Secure HLS video streaming encrypts those segments and only serves them to authorised viewers, so the video can’t simply be downloaded or shared.
An MP4 has a single URL that anyone can copy, share or download. With this system your video is stored in a private bucket, split into encrypted segments and delivered only to browsers with a valid signed cookie, so it can’t be played outside your site.
Yes. It’s a WordPress plugin, and videos are placed with a shortcode on any page or post.
Yes. We set everything up in your own AWS account: the encoding pipeline, the private S3 buckets, CloudFront and the signed cookies. You pay AWS directly for storage and bandwidth.
Yes. Video is delivered through Amazon CloudFront from your own media subdomain.
Upload your master file to your private S3 bucket, wait for the email that each version is ready, then paste the shortcode into your page or post.
Yes. The encoding pipeline is deployed as code, so the same setup can be rolled out to as many sites or AWS accounts as you need.
No system can stop someone screen-recording a video. This system stops direct downloads, hotlinking and shared links, which is where most leaks come from.
